Variable

(each cargiver sets his or her own individual hourly rate based on that caregiver's experience and qualifications)

 You send a “shift request” or "care request" via the app or website for a single visit or series of visits.

Pay-as-you-go via credit card attached to account or invoice.  You are not charged anything until the visit or shift is completed.

Caregivers respond to your "care request" and you select or "hire" them from the list of people who respond.

RestUp uses the widely respected and industry leading company, Checkr, in order to conduct background checks on caregivers.

 

For our facility and agency partners, we verify active licenses, conduct a LEIE check, and verify that a negative TB test was conducted within 12-months of activation.

Caregivers can link their social media profiles to their RestUp profiles to create "trust badges."

 RestUp caregivers have the option to upload a video introduction of themselves.

ABOUT US

Trusted, Convenient, Affordable Caregivers

 

RestUp is a mobile application and website which serves to bridge the gap between professional caregivers and those facilities, agencies, and families needing help.

We provide a platform for trusted, convenient, and affordable caregivers to connect to facilities, agencies, and families, on-demand. Caregivers can be found through our map feature, which lists nearby available caregivers who are ready and willing to help.

With RestUp, you can send a shift request to all nearby caregivers. Your shift requests are made for individual shifts or what we sometimes call “care visits.”  Logo

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our careseekers and caregivers. RestUp maintains $3 million in liability insurance and encourages each caregiver to obtain their own liability insurance as well.

We also perform a background and identity check on every caregiver applying to work a shift, and provide rating and feedback for each caregiver.  Some caregiver have even linked their Facebook and LinkedIn profile with RestUp in order to add another layer of verification and trust.

We also have a unique and state-of-the-art caregiver screening process developed by our very own Dr. Patrick Monahan, Ph.D in Educational Measurement and Statistics, and professor of Biostatistics.

For facilities and agencies, we also verify that the caregiver's license is active, perform a LEIE check, and verify a negative TB test was done within the prior twelve (12) months.

As part of our attempt to streamline interactions, all payments are handled via the app. This ensures convenience, as well as protection of your financial information. Payments are processed through a service called Stripe, which can easily be linked to the user’s bank account for payment and deposit. Our platform also provides a time-clock that keeps track of working hours.

While we thrive in innovation, RestUp also respects the traditional home health agency model, by allowing agencies to create their own profiles and manage their caregivers via this platform.

RestUp was conceived by its Founder, CEO, and Elder Law Attorney, Clifton A. Dennis, in November of 2015. When volunteering at an AARP event, Cliff wondered if there wasn't a more efficient and cost-effective way to connect caregivers and families. With many people becoming more familiar and comfortable with using technology, Cliff assembled a team to develop an app that would connect caregivers to those families who need assistance with their loved one.

 Steve is the Co-Founder of My Healthcare and a healthcare entrepreneur.  Steve owns and operates many other companies in the Healthcare Space such as My Mobile MD, My Rehab and Wellness, and My Mobile Diagnostics.  Heather has been a licensed health facility and nursing home administrator in both Indiana and Florida for 20+ years.  She most recently was Regional VP of Operations for a company operating 15 licensed assisted living communities in 4 states. Clifton is an elder law attorney and serial entrepenuer.  He was the original and sole founder of RestUp in March of 2016.  Clifton is active in the community and volunteers for several organizations such as CICOA, AARP of Indiana, and the Indianapolis Bar Assocation.

Patrick obtained a Ph.D. in educational measurement and statistics, specializing in psychometrics, and is a professor of biostatistics. Patrick's work has allowed RestUp the ability to screen caregivers for their suitability as caregivers. Dr. Boustani is a geriatrician in the IU Health Network, as well as a Research Scientist at Regenstrief Institute, Inc.; a Richard M. Fairbanks Professor in Aging Research; a Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine; and Associate Director at the  Indiana University Center for Aging Research.  Kris is the current CFO of Heartland Food Products Group and the former CFO of Sara Lee Corporation.
